Internal Medicine

We are lucky to have Dr Christina Bradbury, internal medicine specialist, to help us evaluate certain cases. She performs the following procedures and then reports to the referring doctor.

  • Ultrasound
  • Laparoscopic liver biopsies
  • Bone marrow aspirates/biopsies
  • Joint taps
  • Esophagostomy tube, PEG tube placement
  • Collagen injections for urinary incontinence
  • Endoscopy - scoping of the:
    • Stomach and intestines
    • Bronchoscopy (respiratory)
    • Cystoscopy (bladder)
    • Rhinoscopy (nose)
    • Vaginoscopy (reproductive tract)
    • Laryngoscopy (voice box)
    • Esophagoscopy (esophagus)

For cases needing an ultrasound, a summary of the case including history should be provided so Dr. Bradbury may help with recommendations after the procedure. Dr. Bradbury will not be meeting directly with clients for this procedure.

For liver biopsies and certain specific procedures, she will go over the risks and discuss the process with you on the day of the procedure. For most other anesthetic procedures (endoscopy, bronchoscopy, etc) she will call to discuss the findings after the procedure is finished.

Dr. Bradbury will be interpreting biopsies, cultures, fluid analysis, blood tests, copper levels, etc., and will provide her interpretations and recommendations to the referring doctor.

Monica is the internal medicine coordinator and the one to make appointments and handle most questions. Dr. Thiels is the assigned Doctor at Waterhouse Animal Hospital who handles referral cases/client communications for Dr. Bradbury.

We love that regardless of why we are there, and which pet is being seen, all who come in contact with our fur babies genuinely love pets and it shows in how they interact with them. That and the great service, knowledge and care that comes with it.

My visit was great! I really like DrMann. You can tell that he is an animal loving person. I was worried about my 12 year old cat Caesar. He did a thorough exam and ordered a Senior panel for lab work. Also prescribed a med for nausea and recommended . Also prescribed a PR diet. Caesar is doing very well.
