Dr. Meg Warner is more excited about Veterinary Medicine now than she was in 1986 when she graduated from Michigan State University. Yes, that's right, she is a Midwestern transplant that still cheers for her Spartans and bleeds GREEN. She has worked her way across the country practicing in Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota before moving to California in 2000. In addition to her many years in private practice, Dr. Warner taught at the University of Wisconsin Veterinary School and for two years managed a large group of practices in California and Texas. All these experiences have helped Dr. Warner realize that what she loves to do the most is practice small animal medicine, helping pets and their people live longer quality lives. She has also learned that California is a pretty great place to live. She loves to cycle-motor and bike, hike, ski and will spend the rest of her life learning Spanish and the guitar. Her fur children include Lucy and McKinley the Poochons and Colby the Golden Retriever. Dr. Warner is very happy to be the "new" kid on the Waterhouse "block", joining our team in March of 2008, where there are fabulous clients, doctors and staff. |
| Dr. Laura Williamson grew up in Bass Lake, California and received her DVM degree from UC Davis in 1987. She did her internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Michigan State University. She returned to California where she practiced in San Diego for 10 years before returning to live in the mountains near Fresno. She joined our team in August of 2007. She lives with 5 dogs, 4 cats, a tortoise and a lively 10 year old daughter. She enjoys hiking, skiing and camping with her family. |

Dr Lisa Ferretti grew up in Madera and has been in the veterinary field since 1976. She was an RVT and managed an Emergency Clinic in Fresno until 1988. She attended Kansas State University - College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 1994. She completed an internship in internal medicine and surgery at the Santa Cruz Veterinary Hospital. In 1995 she began as a staff veterinarian at an Emergency Clinic in Fresno. In 1997 she began a radiology residency at University of Florida -College of Veterinary Medicine. Upon completion of her residency she was on the faculty at Kansas State Veterinary University -College of Veterinary Medicine . In 2002 she returned to Fresno and began a imaging practice in the San Joaquin Valley. Dr Ferretti travels to veterinary hospitals within the San Joaquin Valley performing ultrasounds, advanced radiologic procedures and interpretation of radiographs. She is currently a locum professor of radiology at Florida -College of Veterinary Medicine. She is a cat person and enjoys fishing, scuba diving and hopes to find time soon to use her pottery wheel and kiln. |

Dr. Lori Siemens, DACVIM (Cardiology) regularly sees patients in our hospital. She performs cardiac ultrasounds and diagnoses heart disease. She also consults with us on heart related treatment protocols. Dr. Siemens is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine with a specialty in cardiology. She graduated from University of California - Davis Veterinary School in 1992 and became board certified in cardiology in 1996. She is married to a veterinary pathologist and they have a son, Erik. Her family also includes two cats, Cinder and Spinna.

Dr. Katie Meier, DACVIM (Cardiology) is a 2003 graduate of the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation she spent one year at Texas A&M's Veterinary Teaching Hospital in a rotating internship. She then completed a residency in Cardiology at the Matthew J Ryan Veterinary Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in 2006. She completed board certification in 2007 and is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, subspecialty of Cardiology. She has coauthored a book chapter and several veterinary journal articles. She lives in Austin, Texas and is part of a multispecialty referral practice there. She has two dogs, a geriatric crazy Vizsla and a happy go lucky Dalmatian. When not listening for heart murmurs or performing echocardiograms, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends & dogs in any outdoor endeavor. Other interests include cooking, wine tasting, and trying to find the best barbecue joint in Texas.

Dr. Patricia Frost Fitch, DAVDC (Dentistry) is a 1979 graduate of Colorado State University, completed an internship and residency in small animal surgery and dentistry at the University of Illinois. After her residency, she went on to private practice doing both referral surgery and dentistry in California. She became a Diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College in 1989. She has taught at Oregon and Washington State Veterinary Schools. In 1995 she developed her own business, Veterinary Dental Consulting and performs advanced dental procedures such as root canals, periodontal treatment, and orthodontics at selected hospitals in California and Oregon.

Dr. Peter Walsh, DVM, DACVS (Surgery) visits our hospital regularly. He is a 1994 graduate of Colorado State University's School of Veterinary Medicine. He also has a Masters in Veterinary Science. He completed an internship in small animal surgery and medicine and a surgical residency at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Dr. Walsh joined the faculty at the University of California - Davis where he rotated coverage for all three of the small animal surgical services and ultimately was instrumental in developing and running the small animal surgical oncology service. He is now in private practice and started Veterinary Specialists Group (VSG) which provides both orthopedic and soft tissue surgical service in the Northern California area. Dr. Walsh is board certified with the American College of Veterinary Surgeons and has a particular interest in surgical oncology and reconstructive surgery. He is considered one of the leading authorities on limb spare procedures in dogs with bone tumors.

Dr. Bernard Seguin, DACVS (Surgery) received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Montreal in 1992. He then completed a small animal medicine and surgery internship at the University of Illinois. Dr. Sequin practiced medicine in a small animal clinic in Idaho from 1993-1995, then entered a small animal surgery residency and Master of Science degree program at Washington State University. He also completed a Fellowship in surgical oncology at Colorado State University in 2000. Dr. Sequin was a faculty member in Small Animal Surgery Department at UC Davis Veterinary Teaching Hospital from 2000-2005. He is currently on the faculty at Oregon State University School of Veterinary Medicine. He is married to a veterinary internist and they have a son, three cats and several fish. He also likes to sail and ski with his family. |
Dr. Matt Stepnik, DVM (Surgery) graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a BS in Biology in 2000. He is a 2004 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation he completed a year-long rotating internship at the University of North Carolina State Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital. Dr. Stepnik spent the following 3 years in a small animal surgery residency at the University of California-Davis completing it in 2008. Dr. Stepnik and his wife, a veterinarian who is currently in a dermatology residency at UC-Davis, share their home with 1 dog and 2 cats.

Dr. J.T. Vida, DACVS (Surgery) received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of California - Davis in 2001. He then completed a rotating small animal medical and surgical internship at the Veterinary Specialty Hospital in San Diego, California. Following his internship, Dr. Vida returned to Davis to complete a residency in small animal surgery (2005) attaining board certification with the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2006. He then became a clinical instructor in both orthopedics and surgical oncology at University of California Davis until 2007. |

Erika Hultquist, RVT, CVPM is our hospital's Practice Manager. We congratulate her for achieving the Certified Veterinary Practice Manager distinction. She was one of only four Californians to pass the test in February 2005. She began working in veterinary medicine in 1988. She has worked in emergency, critical care and small animal hospitals. She taught students in the Veterinary Technician program at a local junior college and served on the State Board Review for Registered Veterinary Technician licenses. She also speaks at veterinary meetings about hospital management. She began working at Waterhouse Animal Hospital in 1996. Erika is married with children and has 4 cats, Peter, Emma, Lucas, and Woobie, and 3 dogs, Juneau, a Bernese Mountain Dog, Chumlee, a French Bulldog and Fudge, a Poodle. She enjoys cooking, reading and spending time with her family and also has a special interest in Bison, which she sees while vacationing in Yellowstone National Park each summer. |

Ollie Biehler is our Supervisor of Client Service Representatives and front office activities. She joined our hospital team in September of 1999. She graduated from Fresno City College and San Joaquin Valley College with an Associate Degree in Animal Science. She has experience as a veterinary assistant and receptionist since 1987. In her spare time she loves cooking and just being a mom. Ollie is married with two children. They share their home with three dogs, a fish and a bird.

Sarah Bengston joined our team in June of 2007. She is originally from Lemoore. Sarah is attending Fresno State University working towards her Bachelors degree. In her spare time she loves horseback riding and hiking.

Lynn Danell joined our team in September of 2000. She began working in veterinary hospitals in 1978. She received training as an Animal Care Specialist through the U.S. Army at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington D.C. Lynn worked as a veterinary technician for many years before moving in the client service representative role. You may not see her up front very often but you’ve probably heard her voice since she is working our busy phone lines. In her spare time she loves to travel especially to Disneyland. She is married and has a daughter. They share their home with a French Bulldog, a Doberman and Sheltie, two cats, two macaws, one lovebird, four parakeets and aquariums. Lynn also does house-sitting/pet-sitting after-hours.

Natalie Dunnagan joined our team in March of 2007. She hopes to someday go back to school and be in the human medical field. In her spare time she loves to play soccer and just hang out with friends. Natalie shares her home with five dogs and one cat.

Erin Brown, RVT joined our team in August of 2005. She has been a technician since 2003 and registered since 2005. She graduated San Joaquin Valley College with an Associate of Science Degree. She is currently attending Fresno City College with the goal of veterinary school. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and pets and going to the movies. Erin is married and has one son and two daughters. They share their home with five cats and five dogs.

Lisa Kiel, RVT joined the Waterhouse team in 2001 and worked as a veterinary assistant for four years. In 2004 she and her husband moved to Philadelphia while he attended medical school. They returned to Fresno in 2008 so he could complete an Internal Medicine Residency here. We are very pleased to welcome Lisa back to our hospital team. She says, "I couldn't imagine doing anything else." Her infectious smile is proof of that. She and her husband have a Yorkie named "Versace". Cathy Piche, RVT, CCRP joined our team in April of 2005. She has been a registered technician since 1981 with extensive experience in emergency and critical care medicine. She graduated from Western States College in Sacramento and also received her Bachelor’s degree in Management and Organizational Development from Fresno Pacific University. In December of 2007, Cathy became a certified canine rehabilitation practitioner. In her spare time she enjoys all forms of exercise and has competed in several triathlons, marathons, and adventure racing. She has three children and they share their home with Great Dane, a Norwich terrier and a French Bulldog. |
Ginny Rice, RVT joined our team in November of 2006. She has been a technician since 1976 and registered since 1979. She has many years of emergency and critical care medicine. In her spare time she studies about cats and does feline behavior counseling. Ginny lives with her 7 cats: Zeplin, Legion, Nate, Simon, Cosmos, Echo and Jasper.

Naomi Rodriguez, RVT joined our team in August of 2008. Naomi was born in Japan and has been living in the United States since 1995. She graduated from San Joaquin Valley College in 2003 and became a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2004. Naomi loves to be in snow and she loves to ski. She enjoys spending time with her family and two daughters, Shelly and Anna. She has four cats; Kiki, Wakma, Tama and Chibita. |

Donna Shepard, RVT joined our team in January 2001. She enjoys veterinary dentistry. She performs dental procedures including: periodontal treatment, dental x-rays, extractions, and assisting Dr. Frost, our veterinary dentist, with dental surgery. Donna worked at Veterinary Emergency Service for eight years and taught Veterinary Technology at San Joaquin Valley College for seven years. She has had an interest in dentistry for many years and is excited to be able to provide our patients with the highest level of dental care available. The Shepard family includes El Phaba, a terrier mix, and cats Billy, Bubba, and Bobbi. She is married and has a son.

Amber Struck, RVT joined our team in April of 2004 after graduating from San Joaquin Valley College with an Associate of Science degree. Amber has recently completed the rigorous training and testing to earn her the Veterinary Technician Specialist - Dentistry. She is one of only 28 in the entire country and the third in California to earn the distinction. She is thrilled to be able to pursue her life-long dream of caring for animals. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, camping, snow skiing and showing her miniature bull terrier. Amber and her husband share their home with their five dogs, Heidi, Moki, Emma, Dixie and Goose.

Elena Tsuchiya, RVT joined our team in April of 2002. She grew up in the San Francisco bay area. She has a Bachelors of Arts degree from Fresno State University. In her spare time Elena likes to fish and she loves music. She shares her home with her three cats, Vincent, Pyro and Dicken and her two dogs Sam and Luna.

Christine White, RVT joined our team in November of 2004. She has been a technician since 1995 and registered since 1997. She has extensive experience in veterinary ophthalmology from working in an ophthalmology specialty practice for 6 1/2 years. In her spare time Christine enjoys horseback riding, doing bead work and spending time with her daughter. She and her daughter share their home with two dogs, Ginger and Libby, two cats, Blondie and Dagwood. She also has a horse named Miss T.

Jenny Sardo is originally from San Diego and is living in Fresno while she attends California State University, Fresno. She is majoring in Animal Science with plans to attend veterinary school. Jenny has worked in veterinary medicine since 2003. She originally began working at Waterhouse Animal Hospital in February 2007. Because of a conflict with classes at school, Jenny had to leave the hospital and then returned in August 2008. We are very happy to have Jenny on our team again! Jenny has a Boxer named Samme and a cat named Tiger. Jenny enjoys being by the water to scuba, swim, wakeboard and surf.

Lauren Waterhouse is Dr. Waterhouse’s daughter. She has helped out at the hospital ever since it opened in 1995. She graduated from Clovis West High School in 2006. She graduated from the Smittcamp Family Honors College at California State University, Fresno, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She is very interested in dermatology and veterinary medicine, and hopes to one day become a veterinary dermatologist or a human dermatologist. Lauren has raised three guide dog puppies, Michael, Edgar (pictured here), and Robbie, all male Labrador retrievers. Michael, a Fox Red Labrador Retriever, is a career change guide dog and now lives with Lauren. In her spare time, she loves to bike and hike with dogs, kayak at Huntington Lake, and to watch movies.

Stacey Heinrichs joined our team in August 2007. She helps out in the office assiting our practice manager, doing computer work and sending out reminder cards to let you know if your pet is due for vaccines. She and her husband Rick have 2 daughters, Karley and Sydney. She also has 2 dogs. A Border Collie named Lexie and a brand new addition to her family, a Border Collie/Aussie mix named Annie. Stacey enjoys spending time with her family, gardening and eating out. |
